醋酸面料，俗称醋酸布，又叫亚沙，是英文ACETATE的中文谐音读法。
醋酸纤维（acetate）以醋酸和纤维素为原料经酯化反应制得的人造纤维.属于人造纤维家族的醋酸纤维，最喜欢模仿丝纤维，采用先进纺织工艺制造而成，色彩鲜艳，外观明亮，触摸柔滑、舒适，光泽、性能均接近桑蚕丝。与棉、麻等天然织物相比，醋酸面料的吸湿透气性、回弹性更好，不起静电和毛球，贴肤舒适，非常适合制作高贵礼服、丝巾等。同时，醋酸面料也可用来代替天然真丝稠，制作各种高档品牌时装里料，如风衣、皮衣、礼服、旗袍、婚纱、唐装、冬裙等等！所以大家都把它当作丝的替身。裙子或外套的里布可见其芳踪。

According to the Federal Trade Commission, Textile and Wool Act when labeling clothes:
"A few common fibers recognized by the Commission have different names in the ISO standard. For example, the ISO standard uses the name viscose for the predominant form of rayon, and elastane for spandex. You may use either name."
ISO is the International Organization of Standards.
Lycra is Dupont's trademark name. Spandex is the common US term, and Elastane is the term used in the rest of the world.
